Rear main oil seal fitting tool Porsche Boxster and 911 M96/M97 996/986

This is a simple tool for inserting RMS (Rear main seal) on Porsche 996 and 986 engines.

Rear main oil seal fitting tool Porsche Boxster and 911 M96/M97

Boxster/Cayman 1997-2008
Porsche 911 Carrera 1999-2008 (Excludes Turbo, GT3 and GT2 models)

When the tool is bottomed against the flywheel flange, the seal is seated 13mm below crank flange.

Use the flywheel bolts to push tool and seal.

Note the tool orientation to clear the rivet in the flywheel flange
